1. Who we are

VyuMee Ltd (“VyuMee”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the controller of personal information covered by this Notice. VyuMee Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 17439372.

Registered office: 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF.

Privacy/data-protection contact: legal@vyumee.co.uk
General support: support@vyumee.co.uk

This Notice applies when you use a VyuMee website, account, web platform or VyuMee iOS/Android application, or interact with pre-launch VyuMee services. Feature-specific notices may add more detail. The Founding Creator expression-of-interest form has its own focused notice.

2. Current pre-launch position

VyuMee is in pre-launch development. Public registration, live creator payment collection and payouts, and adult/explicit web functionality may remain disabled until their relevant launch gates are complete.

This Notice distinguishes between processing that happens now and processing that may happen only if a gated feature is later enabled. A planned database field or integration scaffold is not treated as active processing merely because it exists in development.

Current pre-launch account access is for people aged 18 or over unless VyuMee expressly provides a different age-appropriate flow. Future general fan age rules will be confirmed after VyuMee’s children-access and safety assessment.

3. Information we may collect

Account and authentication

Email address, internal account identifier, account role, authentication/session and related security information. VyuMee does not need to store your plain-text password.

Profile and creator information

Username, display name, biography, avatar, account type, creator category/status, pricing settings, creator-verification status, Founding Creator status/number and information you choose to add to your profile.

Content and communications

Posts, captions, uploaded media, comments, direct messages, creator message campaigns, support messages and form submissions, together with relevant metadata such as file name, type, size, path, timestamps, visibility and moderation/safety status.

VyuMee messages are stored and processed as part of the Service. VyuMee does not represent its current messaging system as end-to-end encrypted.

Activity, relationships and preferences

Follows, likes, saved posts, feed interests/exclusions, notification preferences, content preferences, entitlements, and engagement events such as impressions, opens, views, skips and follows used to operate and improve VyuMee.

Safety, moderation and integrity

Reports, moderation decisions/reasons, content-safety results, enforcement status, fraud/abuse indicators, duplicate-account/application indicators, security events and investigation records. Media submitted to publication flows may be sent to VyuMee’s selected automated moderation provider, Sightengine, when that integration is enabled for the relevant environment.

Founding Creator and recruitment

Information described in the separate Founding Creator Privacy Notice, including application/contact information, review evidence, status history, reviewer actions and, if activated, Founder number/programme audit history.

Legal acceptance and compliance evidence

Where affirmative acceptance is required, VyuMee may record the user identifier, document/version, effective date, canonical URL, cryptographic content digest and registry fingerprint, acceptance context/method/surface and timestamp, together with audit records needed to evidence compliance decisions.

Technical, device and security data

Request timestamps, IP/network information, browser/app/device/platform information, session identifiers, error/security logs and diagnostic information used to deliver and protect VyuMee. Where push notifications are enabled, VyuMee may store a device push token, platform, app identifier, enabled status and related timestamps.

Limited browser/device storage is also used for operational functions such as authentication/session state, theme preferences and form-draft continuity. More detail will be provided in the Cookie & Storage Technologies Policy before non-essential tracking is enabled.

Payments and verification if later enabled

Live payment collection and creator payouts are currently gated. If enabled, VyuMee may process transaction identifiers, account identifiers, product/entitlement details, amount/currency/fees/status, refund/dispute information and payment/store references. Payment-card or bank details may instead be collected directly by the regulated provider or app store.

Age, identity, seller, tax and payout-verification features are also fail-closed until their legal/provider gates are complete. Additional privacy information will be provided where needed before those flows are enabled.

4. Where information comes from

  • directly from you;
  • your activity and technical requests to VyuMee;
  • other users interacting with or reporting you/content;
  • enabled hosting, authentication, storage, moderation and security providers;
  • Apple, Google, payment or verification providers if the relevant capability is enabled; and
  • public creator/profile references you provide for recruitment, verification or support.

5. Why we use it and lawful bases

VyuMee uses personal information only where an appropriate lawful basis applies under UK data-protection law.

Provide and administer VyuMee

Account, profile, content, communications, preferences and feature-use information may be processed where necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request before entering one.

Security, abuse prevention and moderation

Security, integrity, moderation and anti-fraud information may be processed for VyuMee’s legitimate interests in protecting users, systems, content, contractual rights and platform integrity, to comply with legal obligations, or under another lawful basis available under UK law.

Where legitimate interests are used, VyuMee considers necessity and whether your rights/interests override those interests.

Legal compliance and rights

Information may be processed to comply with law/regulatory obligations, respond to valid legal process, keep required records, resolve disputes and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Creator recruitment/onboarding

Information supplied when asking to join a creator or Founding Creator relationship may be processed to take steps at your request before contract and for legitimate interests in operating/securing creator recruitment.

Communications and improvement

Contact information may be used for service, security, account, moderation, legal and support communications. Optional marketing that requires consent will use consent. Service-performance, diagnostic and feature-use information may be used for legitimate interests in maintaining, troubleshooting and improving VyuMee.

6. Sensitive information

VyuMee does not require special-category information for ordinary pre-launch account use. Users may choose to publish or communicate information revealing sensitive characteristics; VyuMee processes that content to provide, secure and moderate the Service and does not use it for unrelated profiling or advertising merely because it appears in user content.

Adult/explicit functionality is not currently enabled. Higher-risk special-category/sexual-content processing will not be enabled until the relevant legal, age-assurance, consent, moderation and data-protection controls are in place.

7. Sharing

VyuMee may share information where reasonably necessary with hosting/authentication/storage/delivery/security providers, content-safety providers, enabled payment/app-store/push/verification providers, professional advisers, authorities where required or permitted by law, parties to a genuine corporate transaction subject to safeguards, and other users where a feature is intended to share information with them.

Current core providers

Supabase — production database, authentication and storage infrastructure.
Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
Sightengine — VyuMee’s selected image/video moderation provider; media is sent to Sightengine only when that integration is enabled for the relevant environment.

VyuMee does not sell personal information to advertisers.

8. International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK law requires a transfer mechanism, VyuMee will use an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate safeguard such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, UK Addendum or another lawful mechanism. Where required, VyuMee will also carry out the applicable transfer risk/data-protection assessment and additional measures.

9. Retention

VyuMee keeps personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and compatible legal, safety, security, accounting, dispute or evidential purposes.

  • Active account/profile information is generally kept while the account remains active.
  • Content/communications are generally kept while part of the Service, subject to deletion controls and lawful exceptions.
  • Deleted information may remain for a limited period in backups/security systems before overwrite.
  • Unprogressed Founding Creator EOI data is currently intended to be kept up to 12 months after the last meaningful interaction, subject to the focused notice.
  • Legal-acceptance and material audit evidence may be retained while reasonably necessary to evidence contracts, compliance, decisions, disputes or legal rights.
  • Safety, fraud, security and moderation records may be retained longer where necessary to prevent repeat abuse, investigate incidents or comply with law.
  • If commerce is enabled, transaction/tax/accounting records will be retained for applicable legal and accounting/dispute periods.

VyuMee’s detailed retention/deletion schedule will govern operational deletion once finalised.

10. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability, withdrawal of consent and applicable safeguards relating to certain automated decisions. Rights are not absolute and may not apply in every circumstance.

To make a request, contact legal@vyumee.co.uk. VyuMee may need to verify your identity.

11. Your right to object

Where VyuMee relies on legitimate interests, you can object to that processing in circumstances provided by data-protection law.

You can object at any time to direct marketing. If you do so, VyuMee will stop using your personal information for that purpose.

12. Automated moderation and decisions

VyuMee currently uses automated moderation tools to help assess media and may use automated security/anti-abuse controls. These may allow, hold or block content as part of platform safety controls.

VyuMee does not currently use solely automated processing to make decisions about a person that VyuMee treats as producing legal or similarly significant effects. If VyuMee introduces significant solely automated decisions later, it will apply the transparency, representation, human-intervention and review safeguards required by UK data-protection law then in force.

13. Security

VyuMee uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information, including access controls, server-side privileged operations, row-level/database controls where appropriate, secure authentication, audit records and restricted administrative access.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and tell VyuMee promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

14. Children

VyuMee’s current pre-launch account access is restricted to adults aged 18 or over unless VyuMee expressly provides a different age-appropriate flow. Before enabling general public fan registration, VyuMee will complete the applicable children’s-access and safety assessment and update age, privacy and product controls where required.

Creator, monetisation and any future adult/explicit capability require users to be at least 18.

15. Account closure and deletion

VyuMee is implementing account-deletion controls across web, iOS and Android using a shared authoritative backend workflow. Those controls will be completed before public launch.

Deleting or closing an account does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every record. VyuMee may retain information where necessary and lawful for legal acceptance evidence, safety, fraud prevention, financial/tax records, disputes, regulatory obligations, backup rotation or legal claims.

16. Changes

VyuMee may update this Notice when the Service, data flows, providers or applicable law change. The current version, effective date and canonical URL will be published here. Where a change materially affects how VyuMee uses personal information, VyuMee will provide additional notice where appropriate.

17. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact legal@vyumee.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
