Core rule:

Commercial content must be obviously identifiable as advertising where required. Do not hide or obscure the commercial relationship.

1. Scope

These Rules apply to Creators who publish advertising, sponsorship, affiliate, gifted, ambassador, self-promotional or other commercial content on VyuMee. They apply alongside the Creator Agreement, Terms, AUP and applicable advertising/consumer law. Publication does not itself enable VyuMee branded-content tooling.

2. Core disclosure rule

Commercial content must be obviously identifiable as advertising where required. Disclosure must be clear, prominent and visible before or at the point a user engages with the advertising content. Do not hide a disclosure after a “more” cut, among unrelated hashtags, only on a profile page, or in wording ordinary users are unlikely to understand as advertising.

Clear labels such as Ad, Advert or Advertising, or another unambiguous advertising label, should be used where appropriate. A brand tag, discount code or vague wording such as “collab”, “partner” or “thanks” is not automatically sufficient by itself.

3. When disclosure may be required

Disclosure may be required where a Creator receives money, commission, free/discounted products or services, gifts, trips, hospitality or another incentive and content promotes or refers to the relevant brand, product or service. It may also be required for affiliate marketing and promotion of the Creator's own commercial products, businesses or services.

4. Platform labels

Where VyuMee provides a branded-content or paid-partnership label, use it when required. A platform label does not excuse an unclear disclosure. If platform treatment is obscured, ambiguous or insufficient for the context, add a clear Ad or equivalent disclosure yourself.

5. Accuracy and substantiation

Advertising must not materially mislead. Do not make objective claims that cannot be substantiated where substantiation is required, including misleading price, savings, health, environmental, financial, performance, scarcity, results or comparative claims. Do not fabricate personal experience.

6. Restricted and prohibited advertising

Advertising remains subject to VyuMee content rules and law. Do not advertise prohibited illegal goods/services/content. Additional restrictions may apply to alcohol, gambling, financial products, medicines, health/weight claims, age-restricted products, cosmetic procedures, political advertising, weapons and other regulated categories. VyuMee may prohibit a category more strictly than another platform or general legal minimum.

7. Children and vulnerable audiences

Take particular care where advertising may reach children or vulnerable users. Do not exploit credulity, inexperience, fear, social pressure or body-image vulnerability. Do not use prohibited direct exhortations to children to buy or pressure others to buy. Age-restricted campaigns must use available compliant targeting/access controls and may be prohibited where VyuMee cannot provide an adequate delivery mechanism.

8. Affiliate links and codes

Where a Creator receives commission or another benefit from clicks, sign-ups or purchases, disclose the commercial nature clearly where required. A personalised code/link does not replace an advertising disclosure where the commercial relationship would otherwise be unclear.

9. Creator-owned businesses

Creators promoting their own products, services, events, subscriptions or businesses must not present advertising as independent editorial commentary. The commercial relationship should be obvious from content and context.

10. Evidence and cooperation

VyuMee may request reasonable evidence of the commercial relationship, claims, permissions or targeting restrictions. Creators must cooperate with legitimate compliance reviews. VyuMee may add labels, restrict reach, remove content, disable branded-content capability or apply Creator enforcement where reasonably necessary.

11. No evasion

Do not move disclosure into comments, use visual tricks to make labels unreadable, create undisclosed duplicate versions or direct users off-platform to evade rules applying to the VyuMee post.

12. Responsibility

Creators and relevant advertisers/brands may each have legal responsibilities. VyuMee's provision of a disclosure tool or moderation process does not transfer their legal responsibility to VyuMee.
